The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Claimant Housing Disrepair Solicitor 2+ years PQE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing their own caseload of both pre and post issue housing disrepair cases.

This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining a high level of client care. The role will be based in our Stockport office.

There is a bonus structure available on the successful conclusion of cases.

Responsibilities

Managing a caseload from instruction through to resolution. Prepare and draft legal documents, pleadings and witness statements. Draft letters of claim and conduct all aspects of litigation, including liaising with defendants, experts, and opposing solicitors Assess liability and quantum, obtain expert evidence, and prepare schedules of loss. Attending court hearings and managing settlements. Provide clear and accurate advice to clients. Delivering a high standard of client care. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure effective representation. Help develop and grow the department.

Skills

Proven experience in handling housing disrepair cases. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reach favourable outcomes for clients. Strong organisational and time-management abilities. Knowledge of the civil procedure rules. Ability to manage litigated cases from start to finish. Use of Proclaim case management is an advantage. Excellent client care for achieving the best possible outcome for clients.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 35,000.00-54,843.18 per year
