About the role....

You will have a caseload of Housing litigation involving housing disrepair claims, possession claims injunctions and other Anti-Social Behaviour cases. You will ideally have experience of working in a local authority and will need previous experience of residential property litigation.
You will be expected to advise the Council on housing matters including housing disrepair claims, possession claims of all types, injunctions, breaches of injunctions, closure orders and other nuisance related litigation. We expect you to have the advocacy skills to represent the Council in court and tribunals. You will be one of the legal advisors to the Housing Appeals Committee and will have the necessary communication skills and ability to understand the Council's governance arrangements.
For this role we would like you to have keen legal judgment and an ability to work on difficult cases with a problem-solving approach.
