The Role:

You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, providing crucial advice and advocacy for housing associations, local authorities, and charitable landlords. Your work will include:

Defending disrepair claims and supervising legal assistants. Securing and defending anti-social behaviour injunctions. Prosecuting under the Environmental Protection Act. Handling complex possession claims (including Equality Act and mental capacity defences). Resolving residential leasehold and shared ownership disputes. Providing housing management advice and delivering legislative updates.
Your Team:

You will join a close-knit, ten-person team in Manchester, collaborating with a 17-strong national housing litigation department. The team is known for being supportive, highly skilled, and passionate about their work.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in housing law or residential leasehold litigation. Confidence in advocacy and a passion for representing clients at court. A collaborative, supportive approach with excellent delegation skills. The ability to manage a busy caseload, meeting deadlines with ease. A commitment to delivering clear, practical, and commercially sound advice.
