Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen within Jigsaw Recovery Project for a Housing Management worker to work within our Pathways 18+ service supporting people in our supported accommodation in Gateshead.

JRP offers supported accommodation for People aged 18+. Our experienced and dedicated team work hard to support people who are some of the hardest to reach people who may have support needs and who find themselves in difficult circumstances. Our creative and unique service works in partnership with local authorities and other professionals to provide support packages to individuals in a dignified and respectful manner, which is the cornerstone of our service delivery.

Purpose of role:
This is a role for a Housing Management worker, who is responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service to individuals in supported accommodation in our projects in Gateshead and Durham, this post is predominately lone working.
To meet with prospective tenants prior to Move in to ensure JRP can meet their Housing Support Needs
To collect weekly SUC Payments.
To work in a person centred, inclusive way with our tenants
Liaise with individuals and external agencies in a positive and helpful manner
Completing relevant weekly / monthly/annual health and safety checks and reporting any issues for follow up.
Engage with our tenants to ensure that they are Managing their tenancy effectively
Ensure Information regarding their Tenancy Management is compliant.
Ensure that all aspects of The Tenancy License agreement and Sign up paperwork is completed on Move In.
To establish and maintain keynotes and recording of all engagement, incidents and safeguarding concerns.
Keep clear, factual and appropriately detailed electronic and manual records.
To support the Tenant with setting up Utilities, Housing Benefit and Personal Benefits.
To Liaise with Engagement and Resilience Workers, to signpost tenants to any relevant support services that may be required
Respond to incidents that require assistance, ensuring the safety of self and others, following appropriate procedures and contact 999 if emergency services are required and record keeping.
To identify and monitor safeguarding concerns, ensuring all relevant policies and legislation are adhered to.
Respond to any Anti-social behaviour, incidents or disruption within the property and or in the local community.
To respond to welfare needs particularly relating to health and wellbeing.
Liaise with the Engagement and resilience workers to ensure any administration tasks required are undertaken , ie: finances and welfare, prepare letters, gather information, liaise with external agencies, helping individuals to maintain and sustain their tenancy to understand the expectations of their licence, and how to comply with these.
Ensure practical housing tasks as required; i.e. preparation of individual's Flat for Move Ins are completed prior to move in
Deliver a service that is sensitive and responds to the needs of the individual, empowering individuals to avoid breaching their housing agreements, ensuring clients are adhering to their licence agreement and accommodation terms.

Qualifications
Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage housing agreements and tenant relations
Full Clean Driving License and use of own car for business purposes
Proficiency in Yardi software for property management and tenant tracking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents
Ability to handle conflict resolution and provide exceptional customer service
Experience in housing management or related fields is preferred
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 21,184.80-24,500.00 per year
