The Resident Services Team are responsible for assisting tenants to sustain their tenancies and encourage and facilitate their independence, quality of life, safeguarding and health and well-being on a wide range of issues including housing, welfare rights, personal finance, hoarding, tenancy management, mediation, life skills and the promotion of personal independence.
Are you passionate about creating safe and harmonious communities? Do you have a knack for resolving conflicts and dealing with anti-social behaviour (ASB)? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive ASB Housing Officer to join our team.
As an ASB Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by managing and resolving ASB cases. Your expertise in conflict resolution and community engagement will be instrumental in fostering a peaceful living environment.
Responsibilities:
Investigate and manage ASB complaints in line with our policies and procedures.
Liaise with residents, local authorities, and external agencies to resolve ASB issues.
Conduct regular estate inspections to identify and address potential ASB hotspots.
Maintain accurate records of ASB cases and actions taken.
Provide support and guidance to residents affected by ASB.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in ASB or housing management is essential.
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in ASB management.
Knowledge of the Policing and Crime Act 2017.
Knowledge of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Proficiency in using housing management software Open Housing and Microsoft Office.
