(The post is 36 hours per week, Hybrid)

The Havering Housing Demand Service delivers the statutory advice and homelessness preventions services and the Housing Register and Allocations function. With the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 coming into force in April 2018, we have created new posts to strengthen the service and it is a very exciting time to join.


You will work with people at risk of homelessness and their landlords alike. We want you to help residents remain in their homes where homelessness can be prevented and support landlords who provide the council with properties to relieve homelessness.


This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. The qualities we are looking for this role is:


Energetic, professional, bright and enthusiastic people who embrace change positively and who wish to achieve better outcomes for people at risk of homelessness. Negotiating and mediation skills, whilst being emphatic to these difficult circumstances. An excellent team player who can multi-task with ease.
