Are you proactive and dynamic in your delivery of support to adults at risk? Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to manage your time effectively? If the answer is yes, this could be the role for you. HQH is offering an opportunity to a highly motivated, experienced and creative individual to join our team of Support Workers in Birmingham.
As the post holder you will work within the HQH Tenancy Support team, providing high quality client-focused support and working with a generic client group.
HQH prides itself in supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment. Through the provision of intensive and short term support to vulnerable people living in our accommodation and the private rented sector, you will play a key part in the work towards reducing the risk of repeat homelessness, preventing tenancy breakdown and homelessness, and promoting independence and social inclusion.
You will have the abilities to translate this into positive outcomes for our clients. To be successful you will also have:
A demonstrable understanding of some of the issues that can arise, when working with vulnerable people with a range of backgrounds and support needs.
Strong organisational skills, the ability to be self motivating, work under pressure and be able to prioritise different areas of work according to need.
Experience of and a working knowledge of the challenges facing individuals at risk of losing their homes.
The ability to be dynamic in the creation of risk assessments, allowing for a personalised support plan which promotes choice. The ability to lead and coordinate case reviews and liaise with a wide range of statutory agencies. The creativity to plan and coordinate events and workshops with a focus on engaging those who are hard to reach in the community.
You will be required to have an enhanced DBS check will also be carried out for this role.
Working hours are 9 - 5pm. Ready to start
immediately.
