Job Purpose
As our HR Administrator, you'll be a vital part of a people-first team that's passionate about creating a positive workplace experience. You'll receive day-to-day direction from the HR Specialist and provide comprehensive administrative support across all areas of the employee lifecycle.
This role offers full ownership of the onboarding process -- giving you the chance to make it your own.

Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Welcome Experience
Take full ownership of the onboarding process, including preparing offer packs, conducting right-to-work checks, arranging inductions, and ensuring every new starter has a positive and professional experience.
Be the welcoming face of Clayton Glass--ensuring new employees feel supported, informed, and excited to join the team.
Continuously improve onboarding materials and processes, making the experience consistent, engaging, and reflective of The Clayton Difference.
HR Administration
Provide efficient administrative support for all HR activities, always ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintain and update employee records on HR systems and files in compliance with GDPR requirements.
Prepare and issue contracts of employment, offer letters, and other HR correspondence.
Support absence management, probation reviews, and performance processes by maintaining accurate logs and reminders.
File and archive HR documents electronically and physically.
Assist in producing reports, statistics, and data for management as required.
Employee Support & Communication
Act as a first point of contact for general HR queries, escalating more complex matters to the HR Specialist.
Provide guidance and administrative support to managers and employees on HR processes.
Training Support
Maintain training records and support the organisation of learning and development activities.
General HR Support
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.
Skills & Attributes

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR systems.

Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' administrative experience, including confident use of IT systems such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), email, and data entry tools.
A minimum of National 5 qualification in English
Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role desirable (but not essential).
Knowledge of HR processes and employment law basics is desirable.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am - 4:00 pm
Friday: 07:30 am - 3:00 pm
39 hours/week
Some flexibility with start/finish times available
Salary: 12.21 per hour [24,761.88 per annum]
