The Role:
You will support the smooth running of HR operations by maintaining the Time & Attendance system, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and keeping accurate and compliant employee records. The role provides day-to-day administrative support to the Head of HR and wider team, contributing to reporting and compliance activities, and supports projects that help strengthen engagement, wellbeing, and company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Time & Attendance (T&A) System Oversight
Maintain the T&A system, ensuring accurate records of hours, absences, holidays, and working patterns.
Support managers with system queries and escalate technical issues as required.
Ensure employee movements and contractual changes are updated promptly.
Provide occasional support and cover to Payroll Administrator
HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle
Prepare and issue HR documentation such as contract amendments, confirmation letters, and HR communications.
Support new starter administration, including right-to-work checks, induction coordination, and system setup.
Maintain accurate and GDPR-compliant employee records.
Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of HR templates, guidance, and processes.
Provide occasional cover for processing of payroll (training provided)
HR Reporting, Compliance & Projects
Support regular HR reporting, including headcount, absence, turnover, recruitment activity, and other workforce metrics.
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal standards.
Support HR-led initiatives, including engagement activities, wellbeing programmes, culture development, and internal communications.
Provide general HR administrative support and contribute to wider HR projects as required.
Who you are:
You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll and HR administration. You have a good understanding of payroll processes, employment law basics, and data confidentiality. With strong communication skills and a proactive approach, you enjoy working as part of a team to deliver excellent service.
