We are looking for a HR Administrator and H&S Trainee to join our small busy team in our office in Coventry.

As the

HR Administrator

, you will play a vital role to ensure smooth operation of our human resources functions. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Responsibilities



Managing employee contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Conducting right-to-work checks and maintaining accurate records. Assisting in disciplinary matters and providing guidance to managers. Maintaining comprehensive employee records Monitoring employee attendance and absence Staying informed about employment legislative matters and implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.
As a

H&S Trainee

you will work closely with our Health & Safety Officer, who will guide your professional development and help you build the skills needed to deliver practical, client-focused safety solutions. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Responsibilities



Support the delivery of health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments under supervision. Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing safety management systems, policies, and procedures. Contribute to preparing clear, concise reports and action plans for clients. Participate in client meetings and help deliver training sessions or toolbox talks. Learn to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend proportionate control measures. Keep up to date with relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice. Work alongside senior consultants to promote a positive safety culture and practical solutions tailored to each client's needs. Assist in completing RAMS

Skills & Attributes



The ideal person should have experience of a similar role before or be a strong administrator with a solid understanding of HR practices and H&S protocols. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and attributes:

Proven experience in an HR administration role, with a focus on employee contracts, disciplinary matters, and record-keeping. Strong knowledge of employment legislative matters and the ability to implement policies and procedures accordingly. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with employees at all levels. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Genuine interest in health and safety and a desire to build a consulting career. Strong written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take guidance from experienced consultants. Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding of health and safety principles (training will be provided).

Pay: 30,000.00 per year
