Due to the promotion of the current post-holder, we seek an HR Administrator to join our team as soon as possible. This role is to assist the Cluster HR Manager and Cluster HR Officer in providing day to day HR administrative support to the academy. You will be responsible for processing starters and leavers, inductions, exit interviews and management reporting as well as maternity, paternity and absence management and keeping the HR database up to date and accurate in terms of payroll and personnel information. Flexibility is essential within this role. There will be the opportunity to travel to other academies within the Northamptonshire Cluster and take part in regional HR team meetings.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an established or aspiring HR professional who would like an exciting, challenging and highly rewarding role within our thriving Northamptonshire Schools cluster.

About You

You will ideally have experience within an HR environment although, more importantly, you will have outstanding administrative skills and a desire to attain the highest possible standards in the work that you do. You have excellent organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative and be confident and comfortable in providing first line advice to employees when required. You will be able to prioritise your workload effectively and have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to exercise your role with discretion and confidentiality.

A minimum of a CIPD level 3 qualification is required for this role, however, we are willing to train the right person through the United Learning apprenticeship route.

United Learning

Kettering Buccleuch Academy is part of United Learning, a large and growing group of independent and state schools working together to achieve the best in everyone, aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call 'the best in everyone'.
