The Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) has an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with previous relevant HR experience who is looking to develop their career within a university setting. This is a busy role delivering a high quality front line service within an academic area, ensuring that Faculty and UCL policies and procedures are followed and advising staff on these. As the role requires interaction with many people across UCL at all levels a professional attitude, willingness to help and the ability to remain tactful and assertive are required.


About the role


------------------


The HR Administrator will provide first line HR Administrative support to Departments/Divisions within the Faculty of Life Sciences and will support the delivery of a customer focused, effective, efficient and proactive HR function. They will work as part of a team of HR Administrators collaboratively with wider departmental / divisional functions as well as with central HR teams.



The post is full time 36.5 hours a week (1 FTE) , available from 1 March 2026 and is open ended. The role is hybrid and 60% onsite at UCL's Main Campus (Gower Street London WC1E 6BT) 2 days a week and School of Pharmacy (WC1N 1AX) 1 day a week.

About You

The successful candidate will be educated to A level or equivalent standard and previous experience of working in a deadline driven administrative environment with high levels of accuracy is essential. The post holder will have the ability to deliver a positive HR experience to internal and external contacts using strong interpersonal skills and being practical and able to problem-solve. Applicants must demonstrate relevant HR experience in their current or recent HR role in their application to be considered for interview.
