to support day-to-day HR operations and maintain accurate employee records. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, a professional approach, and an interest in developing a career in HR.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part time (30-35 hrs p/w) for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 14.98 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
Maintain and update the HR database (Sage HR), ensuring accurate and confidential records
Support the onboarding process, including mandatory training checks and uploading certificates
Conduct right-to-work checks and monitor expiry dates
Manage reference requests for current and former employees
Respond to general HR enquiries in a professional and helpful manner
Maintain temporary staff records, including starters, leavers, and right-to-work documentation
Prepare and issue new starter documentation for casual staff and track completed paperwork
Maintain awareness of College HR policies and communicate them clearly to staff and fellows
Selection Criteria:
Previous HR administration experience (desirable)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong IT skills, including HR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good numerical ability
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
