The HR Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR Department, ensuring efficient management of HR files, recruitment processes, and employee documentation. The role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating recruitment activities, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the online recruitment platform, including CV screening.
Support with interviews and discuss hiring recommendations with the HR Manager and/ or Care Manager.
Perform background checks and obtain references for all job applicants.
Maintain clear, timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment journey.
Maintain accurate and organised employee records (physical and digital).
Regularly check and update DBS, car insurance, and MOT expiry dates.
Handle DBS administration and compliance checks efficiently.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all HR practices and decision-making.
Monitor absence, conduct return-to-work interviews and ensure accurate records are maintained.
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values teamwork, respect, and recognition.
Support with employee reward and recognition programmes, such as Employee of the Month and incentive schemes.
Respond to phone queries professionally, logging relevant information on Birdie as required.
Act in accordance with the company's values, rules, and confidentiality standards at all times.
Represent HR in staff meetings.
Candidate requirements:
Proven experience in HR administration, or a similar role, 1 year preferred.
GCSE level education or equivalent.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of UK Employment Law and regulations desirable.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Hours of work are 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM Thursday and Friday.
