Job Description


Exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor working for a successful food manufacturing company in the Gateshead area on a 12 month fixed term contract for maternity cover.

You will be the point of contact for employees on site, providing HR support and advice to staff and managers, managing the recruitment lifecycle and onboarding processes.

You should have previous experience working within a HR advisory role, specifically within absence management, performance and capability, and recruitment. Ideally you will have CIPD level 3 or relevant experience.

As a HR Advisor, your duties will include:

  • Acting as the main site point of contact and support for all employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance meetings, capability reviews and investigations
  • Ensure effective monitoring of sickness trends, providing advice and guidance
  • Building effective relationships with and support Managers with HR policies and legislation
  • Contributing to the review, development and deployment of HR policies and procedures
  • Managing the full recruitment process
  • Ensure Induction and Onboarding are carried out appropriately
  • Ensure that accurate up to date information is available for payroll and KPI Reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Providing analytics and trend data for the SHRBP to review
  • Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data, including generating reports
  • Supporting annual HR process objective setting, talent mapping, succession planning and head count budget requirements
  • Supporting the Senior HRBP with employee engagement activities, including annual survey coordination, analysis, communication and feedback
  • Supporting the Senior HRBP with transformation and change programmes
This is a full-time role working Monday - Friday, office hours. Some ad-hoc flexibility may be required on evenings depending on employee shift patterns.
