Our client, a global manufacturing business, seek to appoint an experienced HR Advisor. As HR Advisor you will have several years\' experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate a stable work record. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential. This role reports into the HR Manager with regular contact with multiple departments throughout the company.

You must be happy working in a high volume environment which is often fast paced. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or have a Degree but this isn\'t essential. The experienced HR Advisor will assist departmental managers in day-to-day activities as the visible site based presence of human resources. You will also assist in matters in relation to employment law, employee relations and disciplinary and grievance procedures and investigate (where necessary) to ensure that all employee relations focused work is dealt with professional, in a timely fashion and are in line with current employment legislation.

  • To ensure that all personnel details are kept up to date on the HR Database
  • Discipline and Absence, Investigations, Training
  • Occupational Health support
  • Manage the Company Handbook ensuring that it is up to date and distributed
  • Assist in the writing and updating of job descriptions
  • Support the HR Manager on all day-to-day activities as the \xe2\x80\x98face\xe2\x80\x99 of HR to a mid-sized team
  • Write and update HR policies and procedures ensuring that they meet statutory requirements
  • Support the training officer in the delivery of the induction programme
  • Assist in the co-ordination, communication and development future projects to enhance the working life of all employees

  • Previous experience working for a design or manufacturing company with white collar office workers and a blue collar shop floor
  • Good working knowledge of employee relations (employment law, disciplinaries, grievances, employment legislation)
  • Admin capability (and the will to carry out one to two days admin focused activity per week as part of a regular workload)
  • Wanting to be the \xe2\x80\x98face\xe2\x80\x99 of HR and to regularly interact with multiple internal stakeholders (face-to-face meetings, and corresponding advice on HR Matters)
