We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team, working closely with the management team, to support the needs of the business as well as our employees in the workplace. This encompasses The Little Fish & Chip Shop as well as The Sole Bay Fish Company Restaurant, Take Away & Fishmongers, reporting to the Director.
Duties / Responsibilities:
The core duties / responsibilities of the HR Advisor, will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Develop, review and update HR policies, procedures, contracts and employee handbook in accordance with changes in legislation and best practice.
Develop information reports and make appropriate recommendations to the management team, particularly in relation to sickness absence.
Act as an advisor to management on staffing and employee relations, including absence.
Working on and assisting management in the use of HR applications (BreatheHR)
Be the first point of contact for employee queries and communication with employees at all levels of the business.
General HR administraion.
Take meeting minutes and formally record employee relations cases.
Ensure all filing, both soft and hard copy, is kept up to date.
Undertake any other reasonable ad-hoc duties as and when required.
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 2 years' generalist, operational HR experience
Commercially minded
Exemplary attention to detail
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to build strong rapport/relationships at all levels across the business
Proactive and methodical approach to work
Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
