JOB MISSION:
The HR Advisor will provide effective HR support to the UK, Ireland & Nordics regions in all aspects of HR. You will provide exceptional support to the New Balance Associates across both our retail and head office and teams, offering advice and support for all HR related topics. Primarily focused on our retail teams you will be responsible for onboarding all new starters, conducting exit interviews for leavers, maintain compliance with right-to work checks as well as ensuring our HR system (Workday) is accurately kept up to date. You must have great awareness of employment laws and support the HR Manager with maintaining policies and procedures.
This role is based 3 days a week from our EMEA Head Office in Warrington, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexibility to working hours to accommodate a healthy work-life balance. Occasional travel to sites across UK, Ireland and the Nordics will be required.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide exceptional first line of support to managers/associates and advice on the relevant policy or procedure
Escalate issues to UK HR Manager when required
Provide support for disciplinaries and grievances across the UK, Ireland and Nordics
Coach and support line managers on issues related such as absences, disciplinaries, grievances, parental leave, flexible working requests etc.
Deliver line manager training sessions on policies and procedures
Utilise Employment Law knowledge to meet business needs and ensuring consistent, fair and accurate application
Deliver onboarding and offboarding for retail and occasionally office associates
Process new starters and ensure they're set up correctly ready to join
Maintain Associate Hub with accurate policies, documents and benefits information
Monitor shared HR inboxes
Maintain Workday systems
Manage ad hoc system processes such as performance appraisals, midyear reviews
Ensure Right to Work checks are carried out
Manage probation process, ensure relevant documentation has been sent out
Support Talent Development Manager with handling learning agreements for all company funded qualifications
Support with HR projects when required
Conduct audits to ensure data protection and GDPR has been maintained
Provide monthly reports which include ER case levels, sickness, and absences
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Educated to Degree level or related experience
CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards this
Previous experience within a HR Advisory role
Previous experience with managing multiple sites would be advantageous
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Proficiency in HR Software - Workday experience would be an advantage
Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Problem solving and advisory skills
Able to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent organisational skills
Able to effectively priorities workload and multitask
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with others
