The Role
We are seeking a
motivated and organised HR & Business Assistant
to provide essential administrative support to our HR and business operations teams. This is a varied role, ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in HR, business administration, or management within the care and education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across HR and business functions.
Assist with end-to-end recruitment: advertising roles, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and preparing onboarding documents.
Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring compliance with GDPR and company policies.
Support payroll, training, and benefits administration.
Assist with policy reviews, audits, and compliance tasks.
Support management meetings -- prepare documents, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
Assist with general business administration such as correspondence, filing, data input, and purchasing.
Provide support in health & safety administration, including maintaining training records and assisting with audits (training provided if required).
Person Specification
Excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise a busy workload.
Confident working both independently and within a team environment.
Preferable but not essential:
IOSH qualification and/or experience in Health & Safety administration.
Previous experience in HR or business administration is desirable but full training will be provided.
