We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our small HR department at our industry leading food manufacturing site in Haverfordwest. The successful candidate will be an experienced HR generalist with a passion for recruitment, succession planning and training. This role requires excellent communication skills, relationship management, and proficiency with HRIS systems. This role will play a pivotal part in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting organisational growth through effective recruitment, development and training.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for recruitment, ensuring that a fair and legal recruitment process is followed, utlilsing effective recruitment channels (internal and external) to achieve maximum exposure and developing use of the in-house ATS software. Supporting Managers through the recruitment process and liaising with the HR Advisor to ensure that recruitment administration is conducted in a timely manner
- Responsible for managing training and development of staff ensuring effective onboarding, clearly defined roles and responsibilities and training matrix are in place for all colleagues. Ensure that training undertaken is fit for purpose and achieves the required outcome by assessing training quality and knowledge attained.
- Responsible for training budget, ensuring utilisation of funded and internally delivered training programmes where possible
- Create and maintain a company succession plan to ensure that we are growing our own talent and ensuring that there is a drive to raise the levels of capacity across the business
- Drive and support managers to undertake effective and timely performance reviews with team members. Monitor and report on completion of performance reviews.
- Develop, design and deliver, if required, HR training to encourage and increase understanding of HR policies, processes and legal requirements.
- Support Head of People with policy and process review to ensure that legal requirements are satisfied
- Assist and support the Head of People in the implementation and delivery of various company initiatives to increase well-being, performance and retention.
- Support Head of People in driving employee satisfaction ensuring employee feedback is turned into tangible actions.
- Provide professional HR advise to managers across a range of ER issues including grievance, capability, disciplinary and appeals, managing cases to mitigate business risk.
- Escalate complex or high risk ER issues to the Head of People
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to managers and colleagues, working closely with stakeholders to improve working relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Provide key HR metrics and data to Head of People to enable insight based decisions
- Deputise for the Head of People as and when required
Requirements
Proven generalist experience in human resources management with focused experience in development and training
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Demonstrable experience in lead generation for recruitment purposes.
Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with internal teams and external partners.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems is desirable although not essential
Knowledge of HRIS platforms is highly desirable.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
CIPD L5 qualification or equivalent experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 36,000.00-38,000.00 per year
