SUMMARY OF ROLE


The main aim of this role is to assist the Head of Human Resources in providing a professional, highly confidential and efficient service within the business, supporting all stakeholders

;

Directors, Managers and Employees. The role is an entry level position, ideal for someone looking to begin their career in Human Resources, as full mentorship will be provided.

The successful candidate will possess a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy, along with the ability to critically evaluate, see the wider picture and confidently make fair, balanced and logical decisions where required. The successful candidate must possess the ability to move efficiently between competing priorities, including duties with psychological impact. Excellent verbal and written communication is a must, along with the ability to form excellent working relationships with a wide range of people. Additionally, exceptional attention to detail, along with a high level of numeracy and excel skills will be required.

Full mentorship will provide the successful candidate with the guidance they need to start their successful career in Human Resources; however, the candidate will be expected to fully commit to their own learning and development, possessing the determination to progress through respected professional qualifications. There will be fantastic progression opportunities available in the future, along with the potential to increase weekly working hours.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY



Responsibilities:



File paperwork as required.

Maintain the HRIS to ensure it is accurate and up to date.

Support the implementation of HR projects and initiatives.

Support with the creation and collation of internal employee surveys (Pulse etc).

Support in Disciplinary and Grievance matters, taking detailed minutes.

Support with all recruitment activities, screening applicants, scheduling interviews and communicating feedback.

Support with new starter onboarding basics, pre-employment contact, paperwork collation and induction planning.

Arrange training courses and keep accurate records.

Coordinate occupational health referrals.

Promote open communication to foster a positive, healthy working environment throughout the business.

Be a trusted point of contact for employee mental health support.

Support in the development of wellbeing initiatives.

SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES



Professional experience



Excellent attention to detail (Mandatory)

GCSE's Grades A-C (Mandatory)

CIPD Level 3 qualified OR willingness to work towards (Mandatory)

High level of emotional intelligence (Mandatory)

Previous HR and/or payroll experience (Desirable)

Previous exposure to management processes and/or disciplinary and grievance procedures (Desirable)

A basic understanding of employment law (Desirable)

High level of computer literacy with a good understanding of Excel (Mandatory)

Self-motivated, possessing problem solving skills (Mandatory)

The ability to critically evaluate and make fair, balanced and logical decisions (Mandatory)

Organised and methodical (Mandatory)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Mandatory)

A right to work in the UK (Mandatory)
