circa 25,000 per annum (based on 25 hours p/w DOE). Up to FTE 35,000 per annum.

Working hours:

25 hours a week (ideally 5 hours per day x 5 days but negotiable) flexible between 8:00am to 6:00pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



On a daily basis, as an HR Assistant, you will provide effective administrative support to the Head of HR and assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefit and payroll administration, and day-to-day HR operations. This role will help ensure smooth and efficient HR processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:



Recruitment and Onboarding Support



Assist with job postings on external job boards, social media, and the company website. Place vacancies with, and liaise with, recruitment agencies on our PSL. Coordinate and schedule 1st and 2nd stage interviews, communicating with hiring managers and candidates. Assist in preparing offer letters, employment contracts, pre-employment checks and onboarding documentation. Support the onboarding process, including setting up new hire inductions, ensuring all necessary paperwork and training is completed.

HR Administration



Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (currently PeopleHR) and electronic personnel files. Assist with the preparation and distribution of HR-related documentation, such as employment verification letters, changes in terms and conditions of employment, and employee benefits information. Process employee changes, including promotions, hours changes, salary changes, resignations etc, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

:

Support the Head of HR in capturing monthly payroll changes. Assist in administering employee benefits, including enrolments, changes, and terminations. Answer routine employee questions regarding payroll and employee benefits.

Employee Relations and Support:



Support the Head of HR in handling employee relations matters, including scheduling meetings and preparing documentation. Note taking during formal meetings. Help facilitate communication between employees and management by providing timely responses to general HR inquiries.

Compliance and Record Keeping:



Ensure all employee files are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements (including RTW checks) Assist with audits of HR records and systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. employment law, data protection).

HR Projects and Initiatives:



Provide administrative support for various HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, training programs, and HR related employee surveys. Assist in collecting and analysing HR data to support decision-making and reporting
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of HR to support the HR department and the overall business.

Expected experience & skills:



Previous experience in an HR support/administrative role Knowledge and experience of HR practices and policies is desirable Basic knowledge of employment law Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service orientation.

Beneficial skills:



Experience using HRIS (PeopleHR experience is desirable).
