As the HR Assistant, you will play a key role in contributing to a comprehensive HR service across the organisation. You will be the central point for all in-house recruitment activities across our adult and children's residential homes and SEN schools. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from advertising vacancies to onboarding new starters and processing leavers, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and CQC safer recruitment standards. You will also liaise with external recruitment agencies, job platforms, and represent the organisation at job fairs. In addition you will provide administrative support to Line Managers in regards to employee relations and signposting to organisational policies and procedures.

Job Opportunity




To support the HR Function, you will:

Recruitment & Onboarding



Lead the end-to-end in-house recruitment process, including drafting and posting adverts on job boards, social media, and the company website. Liaise with external agencies, job platforms, and attend recruitment events as needed. Organise and attend job fairs and recruitment events to attract talent. Screen applications, conduct pre-screening calls, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive experience. Oversee onboarding for new starters, ensuring all safer recruitment checks are completed and induction processes are followed. Maintain accurate recruitment records and databases in line with GDPR and safer recruitment guidelines. Play a role in delivering the company induction programme

Offboarding & Exit Interviews



Process leavers, ensuring all necessary documentation and exit procedures are completed. Conduct exit interviews, collate feedback, and report trends to management for continuous improvement.

HR Support



Provide administrative support to managers regarding meetings Signpost staff and managers to relevant policies and processes

Reporting & Compliance



Contribute to regular recruitment reports and analytics for management. Ensure all recruitment activities comply with Ofsted, CQC, and safer recruitment policies.

Other Duties



Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes. Provide administrative support as required.

Essential Skills



Skills & Experience- Desirable



Experience in in-house recruitment, ideally within social care or education. Knowledge of safer recruitment practices and relevant regulatory frameworks (Ofsted, CQC). Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Proficient in using ATS, job boards, and Microsoft Office. Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Please note a full UK driving license is essential due to the rural location of our Head Office
