We are keen to recruit a
part time
HR Assistant
who will be able to support the HR Manager in providing advice and guidance to the business. Although the role will be heavily focused on HR administration there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of a generalist HR function by working closely with the HR Manager. It would therefore be an ideal role for an experienced HR administrator who is looking to develop their career in a varied and faced paced role.
The Role
To Assist the HR manager with administrative support for the entire employee life cycle to include.
New starter contracts, offer letters and pre-employment checks and documentation.
Assisting managers with all recruitment activities from posting and updating vacancy postings to assisting with interviews and onboarding activities as required.
Acting as first point of contract for line managers and employees to address queries and concerns providing advice and guidance on HR policy and procedures.
Maintain and update the HR system (MHR People First) ensuring accurate data is held and supporting the HR Manager in developing and enhancing engagement, utilisation and functionality of the platform.
Support the HR Manager by identifying and facilitating Training needs and solutions. Managing administration and reporting on training compliance for mandatory eLearning course completions.
Assisting with Employee Relation matters and providing advice and guidance on policy and procedure as required, assisting with performance management issues by acting as note taker in meetings.
Liaising with the accounts manager and third parties to support with payroll processing and administration.
Skills and Attributes
Efficient organisational and administrative skills
Proficient knowledge of computer & HR software systems; and experience using MHR People First would be an advantage.
Excellent people skills with the ability to forge effective working relationships at all levels and across a diverse workforce
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Flexible, can-do attitude and a collaborative team work ethic
Must have a pleasant, helpful and approachable attitude
Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice
CIPD qualified or working towards.

20-25 per week
