HR Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time, Monday to Friday)



The Role


We are looking for a proactive and organised HR Assistant to join our small, friendly HR Team at TMI Foods, Northampton. This is a brilliant opportunity for:

Someone looking to start a career in HR (admin experience required), or Someone with basic HR knowledge who wants to gain more exposure, or An experienced administrator looking for a part-time role with HR exposure

Role Responsibilities


You'll work closely with the HR Manager (and Senior HR Manager) on a wide variety of tasks, including:

Recruitment admin, onboarding, and right-to-work checks Note-taking in meetings / typing up minutes Employee relation cases (e.g. Investigation, disciplinaries, absence reviews) HR systems maintenance (including holidays, absences, access cards) Maintaining the training platform and co-ordination of training (QMS, Food Safety, HACCP) Payroll processing for weekly paid employees Health & safety admin (PPE, lockers, First Aid administration, Fire Marshalls) General HR admin & reception cover Supporting staff wellbeing initiatives & employee engagement initiatives Handling confidential information with care

The ideal candidate



Essential



At least 1 year of office-based admin experience Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Confident communicator with good attention to detail Good level of English - both written and spoken Able to work on-site and start at 8:00am Highly organisation skills and able to multi-task Ability to remain confidential, discrete and professional at all times Excellent customer service skills

Desirable



Any experience in HR, payroll, recruitment or reception CIPD Level 3 or interest in completing it Experience using Sage or time & attendance systems Experience in a manufacturing, factory or fast-paced setting
