Hr Assistant

Norwich, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

At Epos Now, our People Team is at the heart of the business. We support our people through every stage of their journey - from their first day to their last (and everything in between) - making sure things are fair, compliant, well-organised and, importantly, human.

We're looking for a People Assistant who loves keeping things running smoothly, enjoys being the go-to person for questions, and gets real satisfaction from a well-organised system. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is all about great admin, great communication, and being a friendly, trusted presence for our teams.

If you're organised, people-focused, and quietly proud of a perfectly maintained spreadsheet or HR system - you'll fit right in.

What You'll Be Doing

HR Admin (aka the backbone of the People Team)

Keeping employee records accurate and up to date in our HR system - contracts, documents, data and everything in between. Preparing and issuing HR paperwork such as offer letters, employment contracts, promotions and changes. Managing the HR inbox and responding to first- and second-line queries in a friendly, professional and timely way (and knowing when to escalate things). Carrying out regular data checks and tidy-ups to keep everything accurate and compliant. Helping pull together people data and reports to support the wider HR team.
Compliance & Process (doing things properly)

Making sure HR processes follow company policy, employment law and best practice. Supporting internal and external audits by providing accurate information and documentation. Spotting opportunities to improve how we do things and helping make our processes simpler, smarter and more efficient.
Employee Relations Support (with care and confidentiality)

Providing admin support for employee relations matters such as disciplinaries and grievances. Keeping clear, accurate records and helping track actions so nothing falls through the cracks. Supporting engagement and culture initiatives that help make Epos Now a great place to work.

What Success Looks Like

Employee records are accurate, tidy and always up to date. HR paperwork is issued on time and without errors. The HR inbox is managed efficiently, with most queries resolved within 48 hours. Audits run smoothly with zero compliance issues. The People Team and employees feel supported and well looked after.

What We're Looking For

You'll Need

Experience in an HR Assistant, People Assistant or HR Admin role. Strong organisation skills and brilliant attention to detail. Confidence handling confidential and sensitive information. A clear, friendly communication style. A genuine interest in people, processes and doing things properly.
Nice to Have

Experience using HR systems (HRIS). Exposure to employee relations administration. CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) - but experience counts too.
