HR Assistant



The University of West of Scotland is recruiting for a HR Assistant to join the department of People and Well-being on a fixed term basis of 12 months

.

Within this role the successful applicant will be part of a team providing comprehensive HR Administrative services to employees.

The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of HR Lifecycle transactions and updating ITrent with these changes such as new starters, leavers, contract amendments, salary adjustments, and sickness absence, ensuring accurate payroll processing. They will work closely with the HR Business Partners and HR Advisers to carry out right to work checks and provide confidential note-taking support for formal meetings including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management hearings.

The successful candidate should have the following:

SVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent OR equivalent experience Previous Administration experience A working knowledge in HR or Recruitment administration Excellent written and verbal communication skills A strong attention to detail and ability to work towards deadlines Experience of notetaking
