HR Assistant

to support our people operations.

The Role



This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Human Resources within a dynamic online retail environment. You will support day-to-day HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, and help ensure compliance with UK employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities



Provide administrative support across all HR functions Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, shortlisting, and interview coordination Manage employee records, contracts, starter/leaver documentation, and HR databases Support onboarding and induction of new employees Assist with absence tracking, holiday records, and HR reporting Respond to basic HR queries from staff in a professional and confidential manner Support compliance with UK employment law and internal HR policies Assist with performance review processes and training coordination Support HR projects as the company continues to scale

Requirements



Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of discretion and confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Interest in HR, people operations, or business administration Previous administrative or office experience is desirable but not essential

Desirable (but not essential)



Studying or planning to study CIPD Level 3 (or similar) Experience in eCommerce, retail, or fast-growing businesses Familiarity with HR systems or ATS platforms
