Job Description

Hemiko are recruiting for a HR Assistant reporting to the HR Manager to support and the further development HR within Hemiko.





The successful candidate key responsibilities will be to be the key contact for recruitment activity within Hemiko and for maintaining our HR systems data to ensure it remain accurate.





As a growing business and developing HR team there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in other aspects of HR as well, such as our Employee Engagement Survey activity, policies and procedures, employee relations and training and development.





We are looking for someone who as proven experience of working in a team in a fast-paced environment and is able to communicate appropriately and effectively with colleagues at all levels, and other interested parties. A sound grasp and knowledge of systems and Microsoft applications (MS Office suite) and proficiency in their use will be essential for the successful candidate, as will a high level of literacy.

Hemiko is the leading UK heat networks utility provider.





We are a fast-growing, innovative business which is looking to invest in and deliver over 1bn of heat network projects. These are major infrastructure projects that will decarbonise heating for homes and businesses. The Role





Hemiko are seeking a HR Assistant to work under the HR Manager, to learn and develop while delivering value to the HR team.





Specifically, the successful candidate will have a clear role in the continued development of the recruitment processes within Hemiko, looking at streamlining the current processes, working with the HR manager to deliver recruitment focussed training as well as developing additional recruitment pathways such as apprenticeships across the business.





Other key areas for the role is the administration of the employee data on the HRIS and e-learning systems.

Candidate





We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, and positive in their outlook. The company is relatively small but with very fast growth trajectory over the coming 3 years and beyond. The candidate will be a key member of the HR team and there will be plenty of opportunity to develop as a HR Generalist.





The candidate will need to be comfortable communicating with a wide variety of individuals both internally within the business and externally. As such the successful will need to be able to build good rapport with people and be a good communicator.

Main duties of the job:





These are the main duties of the role, but this is not an exhaustive list;


Working under the direct supervision of a HR Manager. Administration of recruitment processes, including assisting with interviews, assisting with right to work checks, DBS, checks, and issuing offer letters and employment contracts. Supporting the onboarding for new starters and providing support to managers as required. Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR service. Compiling and maintaining digital and electronic employee records. Assisting with the payroll documentation. Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars. Maintaining employee data into HRIS. Maintaining employee e-learning data on our e-learning system. Supporting probation process administration. Supporting managers with offboarding processes. Providing regular summary report updates on key HR metrics (such as sickness absence rate and e-learning completion rates). Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications. Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency. Track review process of policies and procedures across Hemiko to ensure reviews are completed in a timely manner



Experience and Skills




Practical knowledge and understanding of core HR processes that support recruitment and onboarding would be beneficial for this role. Good knowledge of IT & Microsoft tools. Great communication skills (both verbal and written). Attention to detail and a 'right first time' approach. Able to work as a member of a team. Excellent communication and presentations skills, both written and in meetings. Good organisational, time management and planning skills to enable you to adapt to multiple clients and contracts. Solid analytical skills, comfortable with interpreting data to assess viability and drive solution development. Willingness to think differently, to innovate and to proactively look for new and better solutions.



Remuneration and Info




Remuneration: Base up to 30,000 (pro-rata amount for 18 hours would be up to 14,400)-depending on experience Discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance.
