We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant who will provide administrative and operational support across various HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, record keeping and payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone organised, trustworthy and eager to contribute to a positive employee experience.

Requirements of the HR Assistant role are:



Minimum:

Experience within an admin role previously. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Desirable:

Membership of a Professional HR body. Experience working with ISO standards or similar compliance frameworks. Previous experience with processing payroll.

Responsibilities of the HR Assistant role include:



Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening CV's, scheduling interviews and co-ordinating communication with candidates. Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring completion of all necessary documentation and orientation activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Assist in processing payroll by collecting and verifying timesheets, tracking leave and liaising with the payroll provider or finance department. Support benefits administration, including enrolment, changes and inquiries. Respond to routine employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures and payroll. Help organise employee engagement activities, training sessions and performance appraisal processes. Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies and HR best practices. Generate HR reports as required, such as headcount, attendance and turnover data. Follow and maintain the sites ISO14001 compliance using the current standard which include environmental responsibilities.
