MCS Group is delighted to be exclusively partnering with The Cedar Foundation, an award-winning third-sector organisation based in Belfast. They are currently looking to add an HR Business Partner to their team on a full-time, fixed-term contract basis for 12 - 18 months.

The role:

You be responsible for supporting employees and senior management on all people-related initiatives to achieve the overall Business strategy. This role will be responsible for all aspects of HR activities including resourcing, compensation and benefit, learning and development, engagement, retention and employee relations.

The main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and support the delivery of the HR strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Drive and deliver HR initiatives to support business needs and in line with the HR strategy.
  • Identify opportunities and areas of improvement in organisational and people performance in line with business needs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on all complex HR issues and coach, support, train and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices.
  • Work in partnership with other support service areas, particularly within the wider People, across the full range of work on projects, policy and procedures development to ensure development of efficient and effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the People, Development and Compliance strategy in support of Cedar\'s business strategy.
  • Assist with employee relations issues such as grievance, discipline and other performance-related matters and provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk whilst ensuring a fair and consistent organisational approach.
  • Lead, support, and work with other members of the team on day-to-day priorities to ensure efficient delivery of HR services.
  • Identify changing sector requirements and implement actions as appropriate.
NB: This list is not exhaustive of all responsibilities that could fall under this remit.

The ideal candidate:
  • CIPD Qualification Level 5 and above (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years\' experience within a HR generalist role.
  • At least 1 years\' experience of managing employee relations cases.
  • Up-to-date and relevant knowledge of employment law in Northern Ireland.
  • Demonstratable experience of using HR software systems.
  • Experience of working in a similar / regulated environment (Desirable)
