HR Business Partner

Salary: pay band D. + benefits, based in SE London

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to join our team.

As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with the HR Adviser, Senior HR Business Partner, leaders and managers in the University to help enhance performance and efficiency towards the achievement of Ravensbourne\'s strategic priorities. The role forms part of a specialist team who will lead of all Employee Relations matters and decisions across the University.

You will look after a portfolio of work with a mix of professional services and academic staff, and you will be their first point of contact for all Employment Relations queries. You will advise and support managers across the range of HR activities including: employee relations matters (disciplinary and grievance advice/support), sickness absence management, performance management, contractual changes, restructures and also recruitment and selection queries and advice.

The role will also provide support on University-wide People and Culture projects, including but not limited to the management of organisational change initiatives, organisational development projects, workforce planning, policy development and the management of complex employee relations matters.

You will work in a small team and will manage your own caseload and related administration. You will take responsibility for your own workload and professional development, seek out best practice and apply it, treat everyone fairly and put the interests of our staff first.

To succeed in this role you will have a good general knowledge of human resources operations and experience, with good IT skills and attention to detail. You will need to be a confident and capable communicator with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a calm and focused approach.
