Ref: HF 23186 Location: Borehamwood or Penrith, Cumbria. Hybrid working available with a minimum of two days per week in the office Contract: Permanent \xe2\x80\x93 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday Salary & Benefits: \xc2\xa345,000 - \xc2\xa348,000 based on experience. Reporting to: Head of People & Culture Job Brief: The HR Business Partner will focus on generalist HR activities, adopting a \xe2\x80\x99hands on\xe2\x80\x99 approach ensuring the core HR fundamentals and infrastructure are fully embedded across two offices and 16 Houses (400 Employed). In addition, to supporting HF Holidays volunteer walk and special interest programme leaders. (700 Volunteers) The HR Business Partner provides a professional and customer focused HR service to support the implementation of the HR strategy and people practices. They work with their subject matter experts in L&D and Recruitment. Whilst the role focus is advising and managing individual or team-based human resource matters, the post holder will support senior HR team members in being a HR partner to divisional and executive leads. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide advice and assistance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and legislation, ensuring they are accurately interpreted, and that up-to-date information is provided.
  • Be accountable for the end-to-end management of employee cases they support, ensuring statutory/Company policy is complied with and accurate files/notes are maintained.
  • Identify ways that HR can enable, improve, and create value in our people practices. Work with HR colleagues to implement and promote these.
  • Coach and/or mentor managers through grievance, disciplinary, return to work and performance management matters.
  • Timely escalation of business or service impacting issues.
  • Train, develop and mentor HR colleagues to enable their career progression and personal development.
  • Responsibility for ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Operate within the legal, regulatory, and budget framework.
  • Co-ordinate with other departments to champion better work and working lives as an enabler of great organisational outcomes and in turn make work good, fair, and inclusive.
  • Collaborate with L&D and Recruitment team.
  • Effectively share and record knowledge and experience attained from working in the Company, attending information briefings/seminars, training courses, CPD updates.
  • Contribute to the development and integration of new procedures, systems, policies, and ways of working which will deliver company goals, provide enhanced support to managers, and ease the application of unnecessary HR Administration.
  • Identify new ideas, processes, and practices as necessary to achieve and maintain an innovative position.
  • Keep abreast of organisational developments and its context and use these insights to tailor HR solutions to meet the needs of teams now and in the future.

Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
  • Strong stakeholder management. Able to influence, support and guide managers.
  • Preferred experience of operational shift-based work environments with a workforce mix of employees and volunteers.
  • Strong operational HR experience across core HR processes (performance, attendance, employee relations, engagement, wellbeing and belonging)
  • Knowledge and ability to deliver on-site HR Business Partner services with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience of handling complex case management involving employee conduct and behaviour.
  • Experience of working with dynamic and demanding operational leadership teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current and forthcoming employment legislation, case law, codes of practise and experience of their application.
  • A passion for learning, and developing professional knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders across different job roles, functions, and locations.
  • Experience of successful planning and delivery of HR projects to time and budget.
  • Highly professional, confident, but approachable and people focused.
  • The confidence to innovate and challenge systems and processes.
  • Effective and inclusive team working, collaborating across boundaries to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Degree-level education in either HR or a business-related subject and CIPD Level 5 qualified
