We have an exciting opportunity for a
HR Business Partner
to join our
Southampton
office, to collaborate with our clients in managing their people matters.
You will ensure the delivery of effective HR solutions balancing legal and their commercial considerations and as a result, provide a comprehensive, efficient and professional HR service. You will commit to being responsive to the needs of our clients and to always delivering best in class service that will build a strong referral base.
As part of our national team and taking a senior role with the London and South team, you will be a growth driver, leading delivery of our Cross Sell Programme, building client relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and helping grow our HR presence in the region.
Key responsibilities of a
HR Business Partner
will include:
Technical
to identify, define, develop and implement the most accurate and commercially suitable employment advice with our clients
to be a trusted advisor with clients for all day-to-day HR matters
to research, design, deliver, monitor and evaluate against the legal framework, case law and trends in order to stay ahead of the competition
to lead ad hoc projects including restructuring and change management on behalf of clients, in collaboration with the team. Ensuring all aspects of the project are clearly communicated with the client and team members are aware of their requirements
Customer Service
to manage and strengthen relationships with clients, maintaining frequent and direct contact with key stakeholders, including clients, relationship holders and Partners
to develop in-depth understanding of the client's business and its needs
manage the provision of professional telephone, online and on-site support to clients
to maintain and continually enhance the systems and controls that are in place to the benefit of our clients
to manage your own and your teams time effectively, maximising opportunity whilst ensuring clients are utilising hours
Administration
to ensure that all documentation is prepared and is accurate in regards to spelling and grammar across the team
to ensure all documentation is consistent with the client's request in relation to brand and style
to ensure that all filing is completed in a timely manner by your team
Knowledge and Development
to ensure you support your knowledge and your personal development through reading relevant legal updates, research papers and trends in the market place
to drive your own development through building your own Personal Development Plan, in conjunction with your line manager
Sales and Marketing
to lead the Cross Sell Programme within the London and South Team
continually seek improvements that will allow us to provide the best possible products for our clients and prospective clients
to build product knowledge to ensure you are able to explain, to Partners across the business or a potential new client, the benefits of working with the TC Group HR Advisory team
support efforts in building the overall client relationship in existing accounts including relevant pre-sales activities, understanding requirements and managing the customer experience through to a won sale across all services or products
to ensure that the presence of TC Group through social media remains true to the values of the business and to report any items of concern
be protective of our business at all times and seek to minimise the risk to our business
Financial
to ensure that all time is logged as this will assist in the accuracy of the billing cycle which is at the end of a project, assignment or monthly, whichever comes first
to ensure utilisation rate is at 70%-80%, where utilisation is not achieved at this level, business development should take priority before other non-billable work
to identify cost saving solutions and improvements where possible
to identify new opportunities (with existing or new clients) through which TC Group can generate new revenue streams
Conduct
to provide honest feedback that will encourage continual improvement
to work in collaboration with the team in all activity
to be respectful, flexible and objective at all times
if a mistake is made, flag it and communicate the solution
to ensure that conduct at networking events or social events is professional and in line with the expectations, as set by the manager
to support and help drive all new TC Group initiatives that support the development of our business culture
About you
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
have a well-developed knowledge of UK Employment Law and the practical application of it
have a strong experience of HR issues, from basic to complex matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary, grievances, redundancies, dismissals, and some change management
have excellent relationship and communication skills
be achievement focused
have a well-developed understanding of a service-led environment that supports multiple sectors and cultures
be CIPD qualified or QBE; Qualified by Experience, to HR Business Partner level
be keen to drive their personal development
have the ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and respond promptly to our clients
be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. IRIS is advantageous
be technology focused and able to adapt to multiple or new systems (in-house or at client-sites)
