The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE:

The HRBP reports to the Global Senior HRBP with specific business partnering responsibilities to the Stourport on Severn site leadership team. The role will be a member of the site senior leadership team and be responsible for enforcing Morgan\xe2\x80\x99s People Strategy which is supportive of the wider organizational strategy and objectives; aligning business and people activities and processes and ensuring a fully compliant HR function. The role is generalist and self-supporting requiring successful implementation of policies and processes covering recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, as an example.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner and collaborate with the Site business leaders and line management to build capabilities, plan and manage talent and develop approaches to drive sales efficiency and operational excellence
  • Be responsible for Stourport talent acquisition, talent review, talent development, employee retention employee engagement etc.
  • Responsible for annual processes related to pay and performance, as an example.
  • Provide HR services including onboarding, movement, and offboarding to employees.
  • Be responsible for KPI reporting, as required, including data analytics.
  • Interpret people analytics (eg. Monthly report, employee retention rates, employee turnover rates, headcount, high-potential and watch list candidate) and propose solutions.
  • Support the modernisation of HR processes; either site specific, GBU or Group.
  • Support the promotion of Morgan by involvement in opportunities to attract future talent, for example through apprenticeships, skills shows, career events.
  • Be up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help leaders ensure compliance
  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies
  • Design and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Deliver people management training to line management to develop capability.
  • Support recruitment efforts by identifying staffing needs, developing job descriptions, evaluating roles and participating in the interview process.
  • Activities as directed by the Senior HRBP to drive forward HR projects.

Requirements of Role:
  • Minimum CIPD Level 5, with ambition to study at level 7.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting and training
  • Experience of at least 3 years within a HR generalist function.
  • Strong employment law knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence decision making and build strong business relationships.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and varied employee relations situations
  • Experience in managing projects and service provision, eg. Occupational Health, Recruitment agencies.
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with employee relations issues, preferably gained within a unionised environment
  • Positive attitude and approach, with the ability to inspire people and change mindsets.
  • Good listening skills \xe2\x80\x93 being truly present and attentively listening to what is said, what is not said, and how it is said by others.
  • Ability to skillfully question, selecting questions that can broaden or narrow, deepen or lighten a conversation.
  • Experience in workforce planning activities.
