Job Title: HR Business Partner

Location: Home Based with National Travel \xe2\x80\x93 looking for someone Midlands based

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our client who are a national automotive dealership group to develop and implement in partnership with their Senior Managers a HR Business Plan, aligned to the overall Group HR Business Plan. You will proactively build, maintain, and foster professional relationships with key members of the management teams within the Group and implement Human Resources strategies that support the Group Business Strategy and the Organisation\xe2\x80\x99s strategic vision and business priorities

The successful candidate will be HR Degree or CIPD Qualified and be passionate about the HR Service. You will have outstanding written and verbal communications skills and a strong business and HR acumen, including the ability to diagnose and analyse problems and drive appropriate solutions and business strategies.

This is a national role covering our clients 16 parts distribution centres and 300 staff, throughout the UK and will involve travelling to the sites on a regular basis.

So the role will involve UK wide travel and will involve on average 3 days on the road and 2 nights a week away from home.

The sites range from Aberdeen in the North down to Bristol in the South, our client is looking for someone who is Midlands based so they can reach the majority of the sites within a couple of hours. (Travel to Scottish sites will be by train or plane).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Develop and implement in partnership with the Grade 3 and 4 Managers a HR Business Plan, aligned to the overall Group HR business plan through at least weekly visits to your business units.

This should include the practical implementation and management of the following:

  • Recruitment and on boarding, and skills gap analysis
  • Induction process
  • Consulting with line management and provide daily HR guidance
  • Colleague reviews
  • Succession planning
  • Improving and monitoring colleague productivity
  • Analysing trend within the HR metrics and implementing solutions
  • Driving engagement, performance and cultural development
  • Performance Management
  • Managing colleague wellness initiatives
  • Developing relationships between colleagues and the company
  • Proactively managing the D&I agenda
  • Absence management ( LTS)
  • Flexible working
  • Proactively build, maintain and foster professional relationships with key members of the management teams within the businesses.
  • Implementation of Human Resources strategies that support the Group Business Strategy and the Organisation\xe2\x80\x99s strategic vision and business priorities
  • Support the building of customer focused culture through relevant HR interventions
  • Implement and manage organisational changes, strategic initiatives and Group processes
  • Take responsibility for specific actions relating to employee opinion survey
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Look for continuous improvement in all ways of working
  • Attend relevant meetings
  • To be compliant with Health & Safety company policy and legislation
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • HR Degree qualified or CIPD qualified
  • Full driving license held for a minimum of 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points.
  • Evidence of \xe2\x80\x98Right to work in the UK\xe2\x80\x99
  • Collaborative team player
  • Have the ability to continuously review and develop and look at improvements to the business
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including ability to diagnose and analyse problems and drive appropriate solutions and business strategies;
  • Passionate about the HR service
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities
