We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable
HR Casework Officer
to join our dedicated HR team at
John Leggott College
. In this key role, you'll lead on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes that support our inclusive and high-performing culture.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing HR casework from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, probation, and sickness cases.
Coordinating investigations, hearings, and appeals.
Advising managers on employment law and policy compliance.
Supporting the HR Manager and deputising when required.
Assisting with broader HR functions such as recruitment, payroll, and administration.
What We're Looking For
CIPD qualified (or working towards) with strong knowledge of employment law.
Proven experience in HR casework and working with trade unions.
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and meet tight deadlines.
Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential.
