Part-Time HR & Compliance Person (UK & Ireland)

Location:

Warrenpoint, Co. Down (Office-based with some flexibility)

Hours:

Part-time (circa 20-25 hours per week - flexible for the right person)

At CMCR Engineering, we're looking for a HR & Compliance person who can work alongside our operations and management team, helping us manage our people properly and keep everything compliant across the UK and Ireland.

The Role

You'll take ownership of HR operations and compliance across both jurisdictions, ensuring our policies, processes, and people practices are legally sound, up to date, and fit for a modern business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day HR activities across the UK and Ireland Ensure compliance with employment legislation, regulations, and best practice Maintain and update HR policies, contracts, handbooks, and procedures Advise management on employee relations matters (grievance, disciplinary, absence, performance) Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation Support audits, inspections, and compliance reporting where required Keep the business informed of legislative changes and their impact

About You

Proven experience in an HR generalist or HR & compliance role Strong working knowledge of UK and Irish employment law Confident advising managers with a practical, solution-focused approach Highly organised with strong attention to detail Comfortable working independently and managing priorities CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essential
