Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR Compliance Director for a part-time position. This senior-level role is critical for ensuring our company operates in full accordance with all employment laws and regulations.

You will be our in-house expert on all HR compliance matters, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies that mitigate risk and foster an ethical, compliant workplace. This is a flexible, high-impact role perfect for a seasoned professional.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Compliance Strategy:

Design and execute a comprehensive HR compliance strategy, including policies, procedures, and programs.

Legal Monitoring:

Proactively monitor, interpret, and advise on all changes to UK employment law, data protection (GDPR), and other relevant regulations.

Policy Development:

Create, review, and update all HR policies and the employee handbook to ensure they are current and compliant.

Risk & Audits:

Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments of HR processes (e.g., hiring, payroll, data handling) to identify and correct potential issues.

Data Privacy:

Act as the key HR stakeholder for data privacy, ensuring all employee data is managed in line with GDPR and other confidentiality requirements.

Employee Relations:

Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and grievances from a legal compliance perspective.

Training:

Develop and deliver compliance training to managers and staff on topics like data protection, anti-harassment, and hiring practices.

Regulatory Reporting:

Manage all mandatory regulatory reporting related to employment and compliance.
What We're Looking For (Required Experience)

Proven, senior-level experience as an HR Director, Head of HR, or a dedicated HR Compliance Manager. Expert-level knowledge of UK employment law and regulations. Deep experience with data protection, particularly GDPR, as it relates to employee data. A strong track record of developing and implementing HR policies and procedures from the ground up. Experience in conducting internal audits, managing risk, and handling sensitive investigations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise senior leadership. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible part-time schedule. A relevant degree and/or advanced CIPD qualification (Level 7 preferred).

Experience working within a fast-paced technology or software company. Experience with international employment law (if applicable). Familiarity with compliance standards related to government contracts or financial regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 55,695.00-62,256.00 per year
