Job Introduction
Are you passionate about learning and development and keen to support the professional growth of a broad range of East Sussex County Council employees? We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Consultant to join our Organisational Development and Training Team.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Learning and Development assistants, coordinating training activities, and administering the corporate training budget. Your role will directly contribute to the professional development of our staff, enabling them to perform at their best in delivering vital services to the community. Experience in managing training events and budgets would be an advantage. Please refer to the full job description and person specification for more information.
This role will require the successful applicant to work from St. Mary's House, Eastbourne to ensure the following operational hours are covered:
Mon - Thurs 08.30 - 17.00
Friday 08.30 - 16.30
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse workload
Meet deadlines
Support both personal and team development
You should be able to identify organisational learning needs, with a clear focus on embedding diversity and equality in all aspects of your work
A customer-focused approach is essential, as well as the ability to promote a positive customer service culture within the team
