Hr Consultant People Projects (8778)

Norwich, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

HR Consultant - People Projects | 8778 | Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity for Two Years | 37 hours per week | 41,173 to 45,442 per annum | Scale K | County Hall

We are looking for an HR Consultant with strong organisational design and systems thinking experience to join the People Projects team here at Norfolk County Council. The People Projects team supports organisational change in NCC and this role is a fixed term position for two years to allow the team to contribute expertise and capacity to the Adults Social Services transformation programme.

The HR Consultant is a subject matter expert within the HR service, and you'll provide high-level technical expertise and advice to managers, often around complex and large-scale issues. The core focus of your role will be to take ownership of projects which involve people change. This will mean coaching and mentoring managers, project leadership, evaluating information and influencing decisions. It's a broad role where you'll be able to add value with what you do.

To be considered for the role, you'll need significant demonstrable experience working in an HR role, ideally in a large and complex organisation. You'll be comfortable providing advice on challenging HR issues and will be used to working with senior managers. Ideally, you'll have a CIPD qualification (or equivalent) at level 6 or above, but we are happy to consider people with comparable experience working at that level. You'll also need first class communication skills, the ability to challenge, influence, coach and mentor at a senior level, and a real enthusiasm for delivering positive outcomes.

In return, we can offer you a supportive environment, with a wealth of training and development opportunities to support your longer-term career development. We're a busy team, so you'll have lots to get involved with, and will be able to make a positive difference for our employees. Our hybrid working approach will give you flexibility, and we have a wide range of other benefits available.
