The Hereford operation is the major UK production facility in PCC Metals & Forgings Group and we now have an exciting/ challenging, development opportunity for a

HR Co-Ordinator/ Executive Assistant

to join the Special Metals Wiggin (SMW) Health and Safety team.

Role Overview:



This role provides proactive HR support to SMW on a wide range of HR-related matters and offers administrative assistance to the Plant General Manager and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The position is key to ensuring smooth HR operations and effective executive support within the plant.

Essential HR Functions:



To be the first point of contact for all HR related queries. Absence Management -
- Daily review of the absence hotline.

- Manage absenteeism through producing and monitoring absence reports

- Ensure fit notes, medical certificates and return to works are received, and follow up as needed.

- Monitor attendance triggers in accordance with policy.

Time and Attendance management. Manage Occupational Health to include referrals and health surveillance. Understand company policies and procedures and create guidelines if no guidelines currently exist. Manage any investigations and disciplinary/grievance matters as required up to and including the stage of a dismissal, including note taking in these meetings as required. Create monthly HR reports as directed by HRM and HRBP, will update weekly dashboard for the site. Advise on other employment matters, including paid and unpaid leave etc. Counsel employees on work related problems. Assist where applicable with the Performance Management process for staff and ensure all reviews are done on time and in full. Handle day to day employee relations queries from employees and union representatives referring to HRM and HRBP as required. Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing of invoices for the HR department Organise, prioritise and manage a diverse administrative workload under pressure HR Systems Administration including starters, leavers, pay changes, personal details, merit process etc. Maintain filing systems and HR records. Any other duties deemed appropriate within the scope of the role and in line with skills and experience. Provide support to recruitment and selection activities as required e.g. pre-employment assessments, offer preparation/inductions/Right to Work checks and documentation/ training etc.

Essential Executive Assistant (EA) Functions:



Dairy and Meeting Management. Manage the General Manager's calendar and schedule. Book meeting rooms and coordinate logistics for SLT Meetings. Assist with note taking during SLT meetings. Provide Administrative Support. Provide general administrative support to the SLT, including printing and document preparation. Arrange travel for managers as required. Raise Purchase Orders (Pos) and ensure timely processing of invoices the General Manager.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Experience:



Ideally educated to A Level standard. Experience within HR advantageous but not essential. Looking for a career in HR and prepared to study for CIPD qualification(s).
