We're seeking an experienced
HR Generalist
to join our growing HR team, who will support a wide range of HR services across the employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of HR services across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on HR systems (HRIS), employee relations, policy implementation, and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day HR processes, while supporting initiatives that contribute to a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Generalist will be:
HRIS Management
Act as superuser for our HR system, ensuring optimal use and data accuracy
Maintain employee records and generate HR metrics and dashboards
Support system improvements, testing, and integrations
Provide guidance on self-service HR tools and resolve HRIS queries
Employee Relations
Advise managers and staff on employee relations matters
Support investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures
Promote open communication and fairness across the organisation
HR Administration
Manage contracts, change letters, and right to work checks
Administer leave, absence, and benefits queries including payroll, pensions, and healthcare
Compliance & Policy
Ensure adherence to UK employment legislation and GDPR
Assist with policy reviews and audit preparation
Learning & Development
Coordinate training activities and maintain compliance records
Support career development and progression frameworks
HR Projects & Initiatives
Contribute to engagement, wellbeing, and D&I programmes
Assist with organisational change and restructure processes
We are looking for someone who has a CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification, along with 2+ years' experience in a generalist HR role. You will have strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Ideally, we would like someone who has experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., PeopleHR, SageHR, Workday) We are a people centric company, and having excellent communication and relationship-building skills is essential. Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments is a plus.
