HR / H&S Manager



The role:

Management of HR/H&S through hands-on interaction with all employees to ensure compliance with legislation.

Ensure the HR/H&S policy and procedures are being fully implemented Company wide.

Assist in the development of HR/H&S plans to ensure the business continually improves.

Audit, analyse and report on HR/H&S performance both internally and to regulatory bodies as required.

Review and develop risk assessments and safe systems of work for all processes.

Assist in the analysis of training needs to facilitate compliance.

Liaise with insurers and external agencies to maintain tight control regarding accident investigation and claims.

Establish a visible presence in all departments on a daily basis to ensure satisfactory H&S performance is achieved.

Manage the HR function through the development of employee training, appraisals, recruitment, and retention policies.

The Person:

A proven track record in the discipline of HR/H&S management within the manufacturing sector.

Possess a NEBOSH certificate as a minimum.

Thorough knowledge of HR/H&S legislation.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.

Experience in building a strong HR/H&S culture throughout an organisation.

Membership of IOSH or equivalent.

CIPD or equivalent HR qualification.
