Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The HRIS Manager will join the Operations team at an exciting time as we launch new projects to improve our ways of working across the organisation. This role will be instrumental in ensuring a successful procurement and implementation of our new HRIS system before July 2024, working alongside our People Team.

In this role you will think creatively to meet challenges to deliver the system and processes that meet business and user needs on time and within budget.

This role would suit someone who can earn trust and respect from stakeholders, manage relationships, understand technical challenges, come up with creative solutions and communicate complex matters concisely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement and Tendering HRIS system

Review and understand CR\'s existing HRIS, HR Processes and process mapping to gain a better understanding of our AS-Is processes.

Identify process weaknesses and areas for improvement and propose improvements to drive solutions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Map stakeholder requirements and suggest valuable features/functionality.

Lead on the procurement and tendering for the selection of a new HRIS system

Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the HRIS implementation project.

Effectively project manage and drive the implementation of HRIS ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budget.

Work closely with the chosen supplier and Comic Relief\'s IT team, leveraging their expertise for technical aspects while actively participating in the hands-on work.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and ensure the new HRIS aligns with our strategic objectives.

System Implementation

Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure smooth integration and customization of the HRIS system.

Provide a communication \'bridge\' between technical and non-technical colleagues to ensure that business requirements are understood and technology solutions are fit for purpose.

Communicate project updates, risks, and successes to leadership and stakeholders.

Ensure a good understanding of all aspects of HRIS project, both technical and non-technical.

Design, develop, document, and test system requirements and changes in accordance with the project plan

Manage testing and end user training, ensuring training materials are developed and shared.

Work with key stakeholders to ensure that end user processes are appropriate, documented and understood.

Ensure integration and dependency management with other business design workstreams.

Managing all risks, issues, actions and dependencies in line with programme standards, escalating as appropriate for resolution

Work with the people team to ensure a smooth transition to business owners once implementation is complete.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Experience of evaluation and procurement of systems including gathering requirements and process development.

Familiarity with various HRIS platforms and an ability to adapt quickly to new systems

Proven experience in technology project management and implementation, specifically within HRIS and related systems.

Experience with vendor management and the ability to evaluate and select suitable technology partners.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver results within set deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

High attention to detail and analytical thinking to identify process improvements and drive efficiencies.

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in system configuration, data migration, and troubleshooting.

Desirable criteria

CIPD qualified or studying towards a CIPD qualification.

Experience in Project Management/Agile HR practices.

Highly proficient in the use of spreadsheets and MS Excel.
