Job Description


Davies is embarking on an organization-wide programme to understand our current ways of working and subsequently create and implement a transformed operating model. Part of this programme will see us expand our global footprint. As such, we require the support of an experienced HR professional who will manage the people strategy and plan, support the internal comms, create, and refine policies and processes and work closely with our HR Business Partner\xe2\x80\x99s to implement any/all changes.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and lead the Human Resources aspect of transformation programme plans.
  • Establish and lead HR operations and processes (inc. recruitment, onboarding, data management, and HR administration) in newly created overseas entities.
  • Lead large-scale consultation processes in the UK and US to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to new offices and employees.
  • Assess existing HR processes and workflows, suggesting and implementing improved processes as required.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the scope of overseas growth, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with overseas leadership to support initial scale-up of local HR Teams.
  • Establish and implement localized HR policies, procedures, and controls ensuring compliance with in-country labour laws, regulations, data protection and privacy requirements.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the HR aspects of the programme.
Key skills and experience required
  • Demonstratable experience successfully delivering HR-led projects within larger business-wide Transformation programmes.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, in the UK and US (required) and India (strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and privacy requirements, and ability to translate into functional calls to action.
  • Confident handling large-scale consultation processes.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools for managing employee data and processes.
  • Experience in managing budgets related to the successful running of HR operations.
  • Theoretical and working knowledge of Business/Process Analysis, Project Management and Change Management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and manage teams in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to make strategic and calculated decisions, maintaining a composed disposition in the face of evolving and often ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in Insurance and Financial Services sectors is preferred but not required.
