Join our team at KeolisAmey Metrolink (KAM), the largest light rail network in the UK! We are currently recruiting for Learning and Development Manager to join our HR and Transformation team within Manchester\xe2\x80\x99s iconic Metrolink. As a Learning and Development Manager, you will lead a team of Learning & Development training specialists to deliver the strategic training plan for the company. Working with key business stakeholders, the role will be responsible for the development of a fit for purpose and modern learning and development offer, ensuring that operational and strategic priorities are met, and risks mitigated through fit for purpose development strategies. Key accountabilities will include:

  • Responsible for the effective leadership and management of a group of L&D Specialists.
  • Work with the key stakeholders in the business to scope, design, deliver and evaluate innovative learning solutions aligned to the learning and development strategy and budget.
  • Work with the Head of L&D for the procurement and contract management of external training consultants/suppliers, to source and manage specialist training and technology.
  • Liaise with accrediting bodies for developed KAM courses to ensure all learners pass end point assessment and maintain accreditation.
  • Work closely with People Transformation Team to provide and develop content for communication plans to promote a learning culture.
  • Responsible for all people management matters relating to performance management, employee relations, recruitment, reward, and recognition, development, and engagement initiatives for direct reports.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a high performing team through ensuring objectives, standards and key performance indicators are set, monitored, and reviewed.
  • Contribute to building an inclusive culture, taking a zero-tolerance approach to behaviours and attitudes that go against the FREDIE culture.
  • Provide clear communication and support mechanisms for employee wellbeing; liaising with relevant departments where required.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of the Analytics team, embedding the zero harm principles and just culture in all ways of working.
  • Conduct risk assessments in conjunction with HSQE when required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring:
  • Qualified to CIPD Level 5 and/or equivalent demonstrable experience of working in a learning & development discipline.
  • Experience of designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes.
  • Experience of leading a team of learning & development trainers to deliver technical, safety and compliance training.
  • Experience of working collaboratively and providing guidance to key stakeholders
  • Strong people and leadership skills
  • Ability to design, deliver and evaluate innovative training and share best practice within the industry.
  • A demonstrable passion for learning and continuous professional development.
  • Flexible, tenacious, and committed with a desire to be part of a high performing team
