Summary:
The HR Manager is a key senior role responsible for the strategic development and operational delivery of a high-performing HR function across Think Therapy 1. As a CIPD Level 7 professional, the postholder leads all aspects of employee lifecycle, embedding best practice in people management, legal compliance, workforce development and culture-building. Working closely with the senior team, the HR Manager aligns people strategy with operational goals to ensure that the workforce model supports sustainable growth and the delivery of outstanding rehabilitation services.
Key Accountabilities
Provide first-line support on employee relations issues including performance, absence, grievances, and conduct
Provide trusted, values-led HR advice to directors and managers
Oversee recruitment activity and talent planning
Lead on policy development and ensure compliance with employment law and best practice
Guide managers through formal and informal people processes
Act as the organisational lead on employee engagement, wellbeing and staff voice
Support the delivery of initiatives that promote inclusion, feedback and recognition
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and deliver a people strategy that aligns with TT1st's vision, values and strategic objectives
Act as a senior partner to directors on workforce planning, structure, and talent development
Lead organisational culture initiatives to support inclusion, engagement and growth
Provide leadership on change management, employee experience, and performance culture
HR Governance, Risk and Compliance
Ensure full compliance with UK employment legislation and HR regulatory frameworks
Maintain and regularly review all HR policies to ensure legal accuracy and relevance
Oversee DBS and professional registration checks for staff
Monitor and mitigate HR-related risk through robust documentation and dispute resolution practices
Recruitment, Onboarding and Workforce Development
Lead the design and implementation of inclusive talent acquisition strategies
Oversee smooth onboarding and induction processes to ensure workforce readiness and compliance
Create and embed professional development frameworks to support progression and performance
Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and enable continuous learning
Operational Duties
Own and continuously improve core HR systems and processes across the employee lifecycle
Manage HR documentation across digital platforms (e.g. SharePoint, WebApp)
Lead the HR reporting cycle - producing clear, insightful monthly KPI and workforce data
Improve internal procedures to enhance organisational efficiency and employee experience
General Duties
Maintain accurate notes and documentation for HR-related actions
Participate in relevant recruitment events and professional development opportunities as required
Ensure secure data handling and compliance with Information Governance standards
Attend internal team meetings and support wider organisational planning
Effectively contribute to the achievement of the Think Therapy 1st mission, which is:

Position Details:
Hours: 21 hours over 3 or 4 days a week
Salary: 30,000 based on 0.6 WTE (Whole Time Equivalent: 35 hours p/w)
Holiday: Pro rata based on 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, plus one additional day for birthday if it falls on a usual working day
Notice period: 4 weeks
Probation: 6 months
