Job Title: HR Manager

Salary: 42,000-48,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Basingstoke

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

As our organisation continues to expand, we are strengthening our internal HR function to ensure we maintain excellence in governance, people management, and workforce wellbeing.

The Role



We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our HR operations, provide expert employee-relations support, strengthen compliance processes, and oversee recruitment and onboarding in partnership with our HR Coordinator.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone confident in making decisions, advising managers, and driving HR best practice across a growing service.

External advisory support (legal/HR/health and safety) is readily available as needed.

Key Responsibilities



Lead day-to-day HR operations across the organisation.

Advise managers on employee relations matters (performance, sickness, conduct, grievances).

Oversee recruitment processes, ensuring efficient and positive candidate experiences.

Liaise with external advisory service on complex HR queries.

Draft and update HR policies and ensure compliance with CQC, safeguarding, and employment law.

Manage payroll changes (new starters, adjustments, leavers) and liaise with payroll provider.

Oversee and develop the HR Coordinator.

Oversee onboarding, compliance checks, DBS, references, and training records.

Support organisational development, staff wellbeing, and culture initiatives.

Support senior leadership with workforce planning and reporting.

Person Specification



Minimum 3 years' experience in HR management or senior HR advisory role.

Strong employee-relations experience.

CIPD Level 5 preferred (or working towards).

Experience in a fast-paced or healthcare environment desirable.

Confident, proactive, and comfortable making informed decisions.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.
