Job Description

This role requires a keen HR enthusiast with managerial experience to deliver an end to end HR service to the business. The individual needs to have large company HR knowledge but must have a small business approach to HR and delivering quickly, 'rolling their sleeves up' where necessary.

This role plays an integral part within the Senior Management team, supporting, coaching and advising the Directors, Managers and staff alike. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this managerial and operational role will be responsible for ensuring the Company complies with all relevant employment legal requirements.

This role requires a resilient individual with a particular interest in the importance of integrity and confidentiality within an HR function. The role will be responsible for overseeing, directing and managing HR projects from performance management to companywide HR and management training and development, monitoring and managing key HR metrics and maintaining company morale.

A working knowledge of an HR online portal with the ability to embed the system into the business and to develop its use to drive efficiencies is essential.

Responsibilities

Provide support, guidance and advice to the Management team, taking a balanced commercial but legally compliant view at all times Consider and recommend people focused initiatives which will enhance business performance Manage and monitor key HR metrics, providing reporting and analysis to the management team and Directors Manage disciplinary and grievances procedures (and all other employee relations issues) appropriately, providing advice and assistance to the Management team Maintain HR case management with the Company's insurers Ensure that HR documentation (contracts, job descriptions) are in place and relevant for all employees Maintain contracts and working documents for Contractors Coach and develop managers and their teams Implement the HR and management training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement Line manage an HR Administrator Working knowledge and ongoing management and development of an online HR portal Manage talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns, working alongside departmental managers to devise recruitment adverts, interview applicants, and organise HR induction training for new starters Review and manage new starter and leaver processes Manage maternity and paternity leave administration and flexible working requests Manage health issues and medical referrals Advise and support employees on company benefits and develop the benefits programme In consultation with the Board and Management team, prepare and implement the annual HR Plan to support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the Board Identify, design and implement strategic HR projects, as and when required Keep up to date with legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors Work closely with senior and line managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities, in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management throughout the Company Appraise and develop staff and coach management team to deliver meaningful performance reviews Monitor and review the system of performance appraisal and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that 121's are carried out in a timely manner and followed up In consultation with line managers, follow up individual management development needs and source external training provision as and when required, monitoring training costs against budget Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff throughout the organisation, and ensure that the staff handbook is comprehensive and up-to-date. Implement best practice and ensure line managers are up to date with any changes to policies Ensure that all employees are informed and updated on key business and organisational issues Gather and analyse market data to measure the competitiveness of the compensation and benefits package, and make recommendations as appropriate, managing the current schemes with suppliers Manage the information held on the HR database and personnel files to ensure it is updated in a timely and accurate manner and complies with any legal or GDPR policies Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation To highlight any matters which may affect or damage the Company and bring to the Directors attention, including any knowledge relating to other members of employees acting against company interests. Coordinate apprenticeship processes Ensure all the workers CPCS/CPCS/NPORS cards are valid
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-60,000.00 per year
